Lexie leaned against the fence and sighed, she had signed up for a lesson horse but she hadn't got an answer yet. She threw her long hair over her shoulder and smiled the day was warm and sunny, like in a movie before something good happened. Lexie shifted her weight slowly and then turned away from the paddocks and the grazing horses, her actual horse should be here soon, she was flying her in from California.

Danielle led her big bay Thoroughbred towards the direction of the paddocks. She was going to turn him loose, before her lesson which was in about an hour. She patted the stallion's neck, as she continued to lead him. Thankfully, her mom will be her instructor for the day, since her actual instructor was sick. She didn't really like her, since she was really strict, but her parents said she was one of the best instructors, so she just went along with it. She saw a dark haired girl leaning against the fence. She might as well just say hi, since she was the owner of the stables.. well her parents were.
Danielle led her stallion into one of the empty paddocks, before turning him loose. The Thoroughbred bolted, happy to be free. Danielle walked over to the girl. "Hi.. you seem lost," she said to her, concerned.

Lexie turned to the girl and smiled, "Nope not lost, just waiting," she stuck out her hand to the girl, "Lexie Dello," she said politely. Lexie tilted her head slightly, she had seen the girl before but where? Suddenly she remebered, this was Danielle her parents owned the stables where Spotz was being held untill her actual horse got there.

Danielle watched her stallion roll. Great.. Now I'm going to have to brush him again, she thought to herself. But she knew he was going to roll. She just thought it was fun grooming him. She turned back to the girl. "I'm Danielle," she said to her, kindly. She tilted her head at hearing her name. "Aren't you going to be riding Spotz in your lesson?" she asked, making sure she was. If she was, then her instructor will be her mother.

Lexie smiled, "Yep, well at least untill my horse gets flown in from Cali," she replied joyfully, anything to do with horses brought her great joy anyway. She turned back to the paddock and looked at the stallion Danielle had rode in on, rolling in the dirt, what is it with horses and dirt? Lexie thought sarcastically.

Danielle nodded, smiling. "Spotz is an amazing horse, just really bratty sometimes, but when ridden, he has the smoothest trot and canter," she said, thinking about the Appaloosa gelding. "About when is your horse getting here?" she asked, curiously. "Do you know when you are having your lesson?" she asked, curiously. She then decided to shut up, cause she would look like an idiot asking tons of questions.

Lexie smiled, "His plane leaves towmorow evening and I'm not sure when I'm having my first lesson, I have to work that out with my instructor." She laughed and looked out at the paddock once more, "Your going to have your hands full grooming him," she said nodding towards the lone stallion inside the fenced area.

Danielle nodded, listening to Lexie speak. It sucked not being around your horse, since they are your only true friend. You can tell them everything, and guarantee they won't say anything, cause afterall, they are horses. She turned to looked at her stallion, and climbed up and sat on the fence, looking out at the paddocks. Her stallion stopped rolling, and was now trotting over to his owner. He nickered, stopping and sniffing the other girl. Danielle laughed. "Yup. But it's okay. I like to groom him," she said, patting her horse's neck. "His name is Tuff E' Nuff, but Tuff for short," she stated, watching her bay Thoroughbred.

Lexie climbed ontop of the fence beside Danielle she then held her hand out for him to sniff, "Nice name, My mares name is A Winter Blossom but Blossom for short, I had to wait for her foal to come, their both coming towmorow on the flight, my parents told me it's a palimino colt. I've seen photo's and all but that's it." Suddenly she realized she was rambiling and closed her mouth quickly but added, "His name is Golden Fire, Fire for short."

Tuff shook his mane, and trotted away, to the side of another fence, where he greeted a chestnut mare. The mare walked away, with a whisk of her tail, snorting. Danielle laughed. "Having bad luck with the ladys?" she asked Tuff, when he walked back over to them. She smiled, and then got on his back. "Aww.. I love foals. They are adorable," she said, smiling. She witnessed a couple birthings, and lets say.. that wasn't very cute. But the foals were adorable. Tuff just stood there, with Danielle upon his back. He lowered his head, and grazed.

Lexie smiled and nodded "I can't wait for them to get here, I'm so excited but the suspence is killing me, I know foals are shipped everyday but I'm like so nervous somethings going to happen." She played with another strand of hair it shone in the sun and Lexie giggled happily that she had someone she could talk to about her horses.

Danielle smiled, still sitting upon her big Thoroughbred's back. How she loved Tuff. He was such sweet stallion, and is never really cranky, or moody. That's what she loved about him. She looked at Lexie. "I can't wait to see them myself," she said, smiling. "So what made you come here?" she asked, curiously. She always wondered why people chose their stable, even though it was really prestigious. Danielle was the curious type of person, and loved to know everything. But she won't make you tell her.

Lexie shrugged, "I needed to get away and well as I looked through ad after ad of stables this one just stood out to me," she sighed it wasn't really a reason but it was true. She smiled thinking about Blossom and Fire, apparently Fire was much crankier then Blossom was but most horses were anyway. "My only hope is that Fire doesn't turn out to be a total brat!" she laughed apparently he was a 7 of 10 and Blossom was still her regular 9 of 10.

Danielle nodded, playing around with Tuff's mane. "Well welcome to Berlington," she said with a small laugh. She was happy to hear she chose Berlington, since well.. to her, it was the most amazing place on earth. Beautiful, tall mountains, surrounded the piece of land. "Best part of Berlington, is probably the mountains," she said, looking at the horizon, where mountains looked like they were touching the sky. It was weird.. Up on the mountains, it was like super cold, but down here, like warm.. Danielle shook her head, and turned back to Lexie.

Lexie smiled, "Thank you," she looked to the horizon and gasped, how much they reminded her of home. "I was born and raised in mountains like those ones." She sighed thinking about her friends and family back home, she missed them it was true but when she was there all she wanted was to get away. She turned herself around and hopped off the fence so she was on the opposite side of Danielle and her stallion.
