Danielle, owner of Berlington stables, walked into the indoor arena. Her students, named Lexie Dello and Jasper Lionsmen should be arriving any time soon, and she wanted to set up. She set up a couple of cones, so they can have a first easy lesson. She wanted to see what they was capable of, before doing challenging things.

A depressed sigh left the pale lips of the young adolescent as he led the already snappy horse out of the brilliant sunshine and into the indoor arena. Sitting ontop of the large horse, Jasper was able to feel even more taller with his horse's elalongated legs. It made him feel slightly awkward, inless the horse was set into motion. Which usually wasn't a long time, as Cigar had some type of mental spaziness that made him snap at something, buck someone, or just run around like a wild child for awhile. Luckily, Jasper had already let the horse run around the Paddock for awhile before bringing him into the lesson. He'd learned his lesson.
Cigar was now nervously prancing back and forth in a slight trotting manner, no matter how hard Jasper pulled on the reins. Jasper sighed, feeling like a complete failure as the horse pranced around like he'd won the Kentucky Derby. He frowned at the horse, slightly tightening his hands around the leather straps that entangled the horse's freedom. Cigar snorted at Jasper, snot landing directly on his face. Jasper sighed, wiping off the horse's snot with his shirt before turning to his instructor, who was about his age. This was even more embarassing. He decided not to say anything, as he was probably already labeled the problem kid with the mentally diseased horse who bit off anyone's fingers.

Lexie led Spotz into the riding arena for their lesson, she mounted him quickly and he snorted excitedly. Lexie bit her lip and patted him reassuringly, he was nothing like Blossom and that made her a little uncomfortable she had only rode Spotz twice before this and was still getting used to him. She did a quick trot around the arena and then pulled him to a stop, she looked around for her instructor.
Finally spotting her instructor and a boy she guessed to be her partner in the lesson, she told Spotz to walk over to them, then she sat upon Spotz awaiting her instructor to speak and instruct her.

Danielle smiled at her two students. If felt weird teaching people around her age, but she was an advanced rider, and was approved to teach beginner and intermediate lessons. She waved when she saw Lexie, and then waved to the guy. "Welcome my fellow students," she grinned. She was in a good mood, even though the weather was horrible. It wasn't raining, just really humid, and gross. "To start out, walk your horses around the arena a couple times, then do a slow posting trot. Got it?" she asked, smiling.

Lexie smiled and nodded, beggining her walk around the arena it went smoothly and she went around a few times. Lexie asked for the slow post trot and Spotz lurged forward much to quickly, Lexie quickly tightened the reins and slowed him down to a walk again going around another time. This time when she asked for the slow trot the transition was smooth and effortless. When they finished Lexie and Spotz returned to stand infront of Danielle.

You Deserve ------------------------------------------------------- much better than me
[/center] Alayna had lived here all of her life. Sacramento was her home and even though she had wished so many times that she would be gone from this place, she knew she could never truly leave. Her home was here. Alayna despised her mother more than anything, the only good thing her mother had done for her was by her a stable full of horses. Then of course her father had to come and burn down the whole barn. Cora Marten had never bought her anything else again, though gave her all the money she ever wanted. At least one of the horses was saved. A beautiful bay mare who was one of Alaynas most prized pupils. Alayna loved this mare and bred her not long after the barn fire. Even though she was a very well bred and well trained mare the fire tore the poor girl apart. The only thing Alayna could do was breed her. That was how she got Pops. This was going to be a very interesting lesson. First of all she was late and she would be with Jasper. That would be interesting enough, because for some reason whatever Cigar did Pops would always imitate. Alayna didnt like Cigar and knew that the horse always gave Jasper a hard time but there was really nothing she could do about that. Finally managing to catch the overly energetic colt it took Alayna two seconds to pat him down and tack him up. The lesson had already started but it had taken her nearly 20 minutes just to catch Pops. Everyone knew Pops as the colt that had no stable manners and a one that was very hard to handle, but for some reason Alayna was th only one who never had problems with him. Pops was a perfect angel around her and she loved the colt more than anything. Though what the colt HATED more than anything was dressage. But Alayna knew that if she got him started in this and got him going really well at it then he wouldnt be so hard to control, and he would learn some self control as well. Walking into the arena with a prancing colt at her side Alayna took one look at what Lexie was doing and knew the drill. Alayna mounted and fought with Pops as the colt caught sight of Cigar. Sorry Im late Danielle. Was all she managed to say as she trotted past then slowed to a walk. This was rather difficult for the young thoroughbred but he seemed to manage just fine. For once he began to listen to Alayna and pay no attention to the arabian nightmare. Alayna asked him to dip his tiara and he did it, Pops even began to calm as Alaynas soft but strong hands took control of him. His muscles were no longer tense. Now was the hard part. Pops hated posting trots, but Alayna made him do it all the time so he should have no problem doing them now. Alayna stopped Pops in the middle of the arena well away from Lexie and her horse and Jasper and Cigar. Asking Pops to do a posting trot at first he just pranced until Alayna tightened her grip asking more urgently. With an unhappy snort Pops finally obeyed as Alayna waited to hear Danielles furthur instructions. ooc: done

Jasper really should have just hung his head and walked out right then and there, when she annouced that he was a student. Really, why couldn't he just be an innocent bystander that didn't cause any trouble. But no, Jasper had to go to lessons. Really, why couldn't he just go and live somewhere in a hole? Asking Cigar to trot was like giving a terrorist a bomb and putting him on a plane. Of course he was going to blow up. Frowning at the horse, who was giving the now late but here Alayna and Pops a display of igorance and dominiace. Jasper whistled, and the Arabian gave him a snort as he had to take his posture from still to a walk. The horse rather thingyily walked, his knees coming up to about where they would be if he was standing still, then prancing down with a proper elegence. This was a perfect Dressage Arabian Display, intill Jasper asked Cigar to trot.
Cigar already had a wild look in his eyes, and he pressed against the bit suddenly in the middle of his speed transition, whipping the reins from an unexpecting Jasper. This was Jasper's fault of course, for he should have learned long ago not to be unexpecting with Cigar. The horse then proceeded to lope around the arena, eventually charging over to a wall and bucking. Jasper, startled and reaching for the reins, slid off with a 'thump' as he hit the ground, a grimace on his face. Cigar pranced about for awhile, before settling infront of Jasper and looking down at him with innocent brown eyes. Jasper bit back a comment, before grabbing the horse's reins and mounting him with a natural elegance as he walked the horse back into a slow trot, a frown on the adolescent's face the whole time.

Danielle watched her riders, occasionally correcting someone for lowering their heels, loosening or tightening the rein. But overall, they were doing good. She decided to have them canter around the arena, before they start something else. "Okay everyone. Ready for a canter?" she asked. "Well I hope you are, cause I'm going to make you canter," she laughed.

Lexie nodded happily, her first lesson here at Berlington was going well, well that and the fact that Blossom and Fire were getting here tonight the flight had been changed so they were arriving earlier. She felt Spotz shift impatiently underneath her and she held her reins tight, and rubbed his neck comforting him silently. She leaned farther down in her saddle and waited for Danielle to give them this sign they could start their canter.

Danielle nodded, and then asked them for a steady canter on the walls of the arena. Later on, she was thinking about doing a couple drills, so they can have some fun. Danni always thought lessons shouldn't just be boring, and hard working, they should be filled with fun stuff aswell.
