Kendra could not be anymore excited. The Berlington Equestrain Center heard her request for a race track. She was so excited. She hadn't raced Sidney for a long time, and she needed to run. She had Sidney all tacked up for a race. This was what both of them needed badly. She smiled as she opened the gate. She breathed in deeply. She kneed down and poked the sand making sure it wasn't wet. She nodded her head. She was good. She pulled Sidney toward the fence and pushed herself onto Sidney's back.
She pushed Sidney forward and she started stretching out her limbs. Kendra sat high up in the saddle. It had been so long since she sat up in a jockey's saddle. She turned her around and walked back in front of the place where they release the horses before the races. She breathed easily. She pushed herself into the saddle into the jockey position. She imagined the bell and and kicked Sidney forward.
She lunged foward. Kendra could hardly see. She could see the track in front of her. She felt Sidney stretching out her legs as far as she could. They went around the curve and she waited for a certain place on the straightaway then she would push Sidney into her sprint. She caught it in her fringe vision, and she kicked Sidney again. Sidney pushed herself into her final sprint and they crossed the finish line. She pulled Sidney up and she slowly sat up. Sidney stopped and was panting heavily.
"Good run, girl," she said as she pet her neck.
