You Deserve ------------------------------------------------------- much better than me
[/center] Alayna was darn near exhausted. The past three days have been so hectic. She had jumping one day and cross country the next. Pops was having a well deserved day off and Alayna couldnt help but watch the stallion lay down and have a well deserved nap. He had done very well the past few days even though that was only his fifth competition. Alayna loved Pops more than anything. Well maybe not more than anything, Jasper was giving him a good run for the money. Jasper. Alayna couldnt help but think about him nearly every moment of every day. That day on the trails was one of her happiest days. Besides the day she came to be at the academy. Nearly four years ago. I was so amazing to think that she was a senior and one of the top three riders at Berlington. She had worked very hard with Pops to get him this far, and now it was her turn to pass on her secrets to other students. It was only noon so Alayna had a couple of hours before her first lesson. IT was a beginner dressage lesson but then again Alayna had more patience for beginners. Alayna wouldnt be able to handle doing intermediate or advanced lessons because the students would think they were much smarter than she was. Apparently she knew more than they did because she was the one teaching them. Danni and her parents would not put Alayna in a situation where the students knew more. It was just not right and they knew it. Alayna was excited for her first lesson. Alicia and Ideal. She had seen them around the barn but had never really watched their riding. This would be interesting. Deciding just to relax with Pops Alayna quietly entered the stall and gently placed a hand on his haunches. The abnormally large stud only lifted his head and nickered lovingly before laying his tiara back and drifting back off into sleep. Alayna set her phone for one hour to wake her up and she leaned against Pops muscular stomach and drifted into a nice nap. About an hour later Alayna didnt hear her phone go off. The song I Loved Her First by Heartland was ranting through the barns until Pops finally got irritated with and got to his feet making Alayna fall and wake up when her soft face hit the rough straw. Ouch. Sorry boy. Pops just snorted and pawed the ground until Alayna turned off her alarm and stormed out the door. she had just enough time to get all set up for her first lesson before Alicia would get there. Alayna walked into the arena and noticed that the cones from the intermediate lesson was still there. All set up like Alayna was going to set it up anyway so there really was nothing to do. First Alayna would work on Alicias standstill, then figure eights. Alayna would have to work her way up. That was another thing that was so hard. Alayna was advanced and yet she had to work on the beginners level. Alayna was walking the cones making sure everything was in place before she stood waiting for her student to arrive. ooc: done Info

I was tired. I had had a hard fall the day before while cross country schooling on Donni and my back and neck still hurt after the Advil i had taken this morning. Thankfully Ideal was a much smoother dressage ride than Donni. He had great gates and moved smoothly, something my poor back wanted greatly. I had carefully groomed the young horse, not turning my back to him once, and then carefully tacked him up. He wore spotless white polo wraps and a white saddle pad under my favorite saddle, one that had been ordered custom for someone else but had not fit their horse, it fit Ideal though. The saddle fit me very well and Ideal went very nicely in it so i made sure it was in top condition. His bridle was a simple black snaffle bridle with only a flash although i did have a double bridle.
I was looking forward to the lesson. It would be one of the first i will have ridden with Ideal and i hoped the instructor understood his problems. I was wearing a pair of black schooling britches and a navy sweatshirt but my boots were spotless tall and black. Small spurs were strapped onto my feet and clicked slightly as i walked to the arena. Even with the spurs i carried my dressage whip just in case. He generally needed it for the leg-yields we had just started to work on and or his shoulder fore.
When i reached the arena i could see cones set up around the arena and i groaned slightly to myself. Ideal had a 'thing' for cones and was either dead afraid of them or would try to steep on them. I carefully tightened the 4yr-old's girth and then got on from the ground. Before i was settled into the saddle he was walking away at a quick long strided walk around the arena, his ears flicking around as he walked.

She knew that Ideal had some issues though she wasnt exactly sure what they were. Walking up to the pair Alayna gave Ideal her hand letting him smell her and get her scent. Alicia Im Alayna Marten. I was told that Ideal had some problems. Before we start could you possibly explain them to me? Alayna was looking the horse over and saw that he held his tiara lie a good dressage horse should, but his eyes showed he was afraid of the cones. This puzzled Alayna a goo bit. Well it looked like they would have to wait a long while before they got near the cones. This would be very interesting. ooc: done

I was almost embarrassed to tell her what Ideal's problems happened to be. Even standing here i felt him start to get antsy.
"Well to begin with he has a fear of cones" i glanced over at the cones quickly "But then again on some days he tries to play with them if you aren't getting him focused. He also happens to be tricky. He likes to flip out over the little stuff as soon as you relax and i am not the only person he has thrown doing this. So basically he is my big freak of a baby" I grinned. He might be crazy but i still loved him.
To settle the bay i walked him around in a small circle around Alayna, making sure he was not looking at the cones. His hooves dug into the sand but he paid little attention, instead looking nervously around himself, ,looking for something to flip out at.
