Kendra led her beautiful Thoroughbred to the paddocks of Berlington Equestrain Center. She smiled. Sidney was adjusting wonderfully. She knew Raphael was having issues with it. She didn't care. He would adjust eventually. She walked at an easy pace as she led the mare toward the paddock. She reached the gate and pulled it open. There was no other horses in the paddock which was good. Sidney enjoyed running by herself. She would shy away, and stand near her if there was another horse in the paddock.
She took the led rope off Sidney bridle and Sidney took off into the paddock. She stood on the fence post so she could watch Sidney run; making sure her gaits were good and her leg wasn't bothering her. She loved how long Sidney continued to run. She was older very close to being retire. She smiled. She hugged the sweater she had on closer to her body. She was slightly cold, but she didn't mind taking the cold to make sure Sidney was doing good. She smiled. "That a girl, Sidney," she yelled. Sidney looked over at her and neighed. She laughed. She knew Sidney understood what she was feeling.

A young man sat on the top rail of a fence of a paddock not to far off, watching the horse in the paddock. The mare, a slimly built red bay standardbred, was trotting along the long fence line with her ears pricked forwards to the other horses. As she reached the other side of the paddock she stopped and whinnied shrilly to them, standing motionless as she waited for an answer. After a moment she swung around and took off at an canter, though as the paddock was quite small she reached the other side within moments. Shane has been keeping her in her stall lately and taking her out to longe or ride for exercise, though he thought he would turn her out today. He wouldn't have time to work her that afternoon as he had an appointment in town.
Shane liked watching the mare when she had room to run. She wasn't the most beautiful mover and her gaits at times were rather awkward, as she had grown up learning not to trot or canter but instead to pace for harness racing. It had been difficult to train her so she would trot and canter on cue, and to be comfortable with the gaits when being ridden. It did get frustrating at times training and riding her as she doesn't react to any leg cues, though he was still working on it. He thought it would be good to give her a day off as he had been working her quite a bit all week.
Shane's attention was turned to another horse in a paddock not too far off. He didn't recognize the horse and the girl, although it looked like it was a thoroughbred. Shane wasn't all that good when it came to recognizing breeds, though he was able to recognize a few such as standardbreds, thoroughbreds and a couple of others.

Kendra watched as Sidney ran around. She noticed a young man sitting on the fence line in the distance. She smiled. She remembered the trick she taught Sidney. She whistled so she could get Sidney's attention. Sidney's ears perked up and she looked over at her. She smiled. "Faire de l'escrime vers le cavalier," she said. Sidney looked over at her, then over at the fence line. Kendra said,"Aller." Sidney walked over in an easy pace toward the young man sitting on the fence.
Sidney stood in front of the young man and neighed. "Bon. Séjour," she said. She smiled. She did remembered the French language well. Her father taught her French when she was younger when she wasn't riding. She began walking over to the young man on the fence line and her beautiful Thoroughbred standing near him. "Hello," she said. Her transition between languages was simple. Sometimes she would swear in multiple languages. Her parents understood when she spoke in English, French, and Polish, but when she spoke Japanese. Her parents didn't understand a word. She smiled politely as she stood next to Sidney and the young man. He was quite handsome actually in her opinion anyways.
