Jigsaw came trotting back looking very proud of himself, as if he had just done the two of them some great favor by getting rid of the squirrel. He then walked promptly up the Tyler and reared up, once again putting his paws on his human's chest and staring at his face. Once again, Tyler pushed the big dog down onto the ground, but more in a friendly way than a "get offa me" way.
"How long have you been out here?" Tyler asked Kendra, noticing the cold again. He hated this weather, but he could deal with it. He needed to be somewhere that didn't remind him of what he'd done everywhere he went, and pretty much the sun and any place similar to to California was a reminder of his past. This cold brought back no memories at all of anything like that, so it was good for him...even though he hated it.

Kendra smiled as the German Shepherd walked back to them looking proud. He was an adorable dog. She reached out her hand and pet the dog gently on the head. So cute she thought. She smiled back at Tyler then shrugged. She wasn't positive how long she had been out here. "Um...an hour or two," she said. She clutched the sweater closer to her body. It was cold and she didn't care. The cold had numbed her entire body so she couldn't feel anything left.
She looked at the young man standing in front of her and smiled again. She was in a good mood for once. She breathed in deeply. She couldn't feel her fingers. She looked at them, and they were pale. It looked like they had lost an the circulation in her fingers. She crossed her arms and put them underneath her arms trying to warm them up. She looked down at the ground and she realized that she was wearing a pair of very thin shoes. She sighed. She couldn't feel her feet, either. She really should dress up better for water like this.

Tyler nodded slightly at her response, he wouldn't have lasted that long in this temperature. He had virtually no tolerance for cold weather, something he would need to work on now that he was living out here. It just wouldn't be right if he spent his life indoors during the cold months, especially not right for Honor. If only she would get there...
He stopped himself from letting his thoughts wander off again, and turned his attention to Kendra again. "You want to go somewhere and get out of the cold?" He asked, noticing that she looked like she was getting rather chilled. He was too, but he was trying to force himself to get used to it.
A cool breeze was beginning to pick up now, and that didn't help at all. Even jigsaw who was warmly insulated by his coat seemed to notice the extra cold brought on by the icy wind. The large canine got to his feet and let out a slight whimper, as if asking what in heaven's name they were doing out here in the freezing wind. Apparently he, like Tyler, wasn't too fond of cold weather and would much rather have preferred to get out of the cold and into a warm building or something.

She nodded her head in responce. "Sure. Where would we go?" she asked. She looked over at Jigsaw and smiled. Oh, poor dog she thought. She looked up back at Tyler and clutched her sweater closer to her thin body. She really was numb to the core. He was as cold as she was even Jigsaw seemed to feel cold. She shivered again. Her lips started trembling cause it was so cold. She couldn't feel her hands or feets anymore. She sighed. "Yeah. Let's go. I can't feel my hands or feet," she said. Her throat felt cold as she spoke. She was cold.

Tyler shrugged in response to her question. Most places were closed this time of night, and the ones that were open were places like the bars which he refused to enter. He had nothing against people who went there or who drank or any of that stuff, it just didn't suit him. Brought back too many unfortunate memories I guess you'd say. After all, if your dad had come home drunk every night and beat you you'd probably want to stay away from alcohol too, not to mention he'd been shot by a drunk cop when he was only 15. So basically he wasn't going to risk becoming like either of those two men.
"Name the place." Tyler said after a moment or two. She didn't really look like the type of person to suggest a bar or anything like that...but then again, what did he know about people? Just about nothing. He knelt down next to Jigsaw, running his hand through the dog's thick coat as he waited for her reply.

Kendra suddenly remembered that there was a lovely cafe that's open 24 hours day. It was near the Berlington Shopping Center. The store was a little tea shop and Kendra happened to met the owner who spoke Japanese and a little English. She smiled. "There's a little tea shop near the shopping center that's open twenty four hours if you would like to go there?" she suggested.
She had gone there number of times. She had gotten to know the owner very well, and had become very close with her. She was a lovely elder Japanese lady who lost her husband in the Vietnam. She sighed. She felt sorry for the old lady, but she was nice. "Why don't we go to the little tea shop?" she asked.

Tyler nodded at the suggestion, he'd seen the place driving by, but hadn't ever actually stopped or gone in. It would just be weird if a single guy went into a tea shop by himself now wouldn't it? Of course it would be. Plus, he hadn't ever had a reason to go there before now, so he simply hadn't. He also hadn't been here that long, and most places hadn't ever seen his face within them.
"Sounds like a plan." He said as she decided that they should go to the tea shop. It wouldn't be quite so strange if he had someone with him. Of course, Jigsaw would have to wait outside, but he was a good dog, and would do so. Tyler'd had a lot of time on his hands during the time between his sister's death and finding Honor, and with that time he had put almost all of his efforts into training the canine. It had obviously paid off well, and although Jigsaw was still technically a puppy at only two years old, he was an extremely well mannered dog.
