 The History Of Berlington EquestrianOne quiet, summer evening in 1974, a disastrous storm ripped through North Colorado, in which an Equestrian Center, was settling down for the night. The storm, was probably one of the biggest storms for Colorado, and the weather stations were warning people to sit tight, since this one is going to be a strong one, and they were right. At 7:32 P.M., the storm reached a small town of Berlington. The small town knew there was a storm headed their way, but didn't know that it would be the most destructive storm.
At the stables, suddenly, a Big Oak fell onto the stable's roof. The stables collapsed, and everything was overturned, and destroyed by the storm. The owner, when bankrupt, and was forced to sell the property to the government.  Berlington TodayThe destructive storm destroyed the whole small town of Berlington. Trailer homes were overturned, the people of the town, about 758, were homeless, and moved in with their other family members in other cities. The city was rebuilt, and moved back into, but everyone forgot about the little piece of property that was north of the town, located by mountains, known as the Berlington Stables.
The Richardsons, one day, were going on a hike, when they ran across the land. They have been searching for the right place to start their own stables, and seemed to have found it. They asked about the land, and everyone said it has been for sale for years, and no one tried to buy it, and reconstruct it. But the Richardsons bought it, for a mere price of 150,000.
After that day, the Richardsons reconstructed everything. A new stable was built, horses were now living there, and people finally rememberd about the little piece of land. The stables expanded their land, and now have almost 15 acres of land.
Today, it is one of the most prestigious Equestrian Centers in the country. It trains students, and some even made it to the Olympic level. People try and do everything to get their sons or daughters into the school, but they know that their wallet will hurt, if they even try.
