Lakewood Stables had not always been a name mentioned on the show circuits - heck, it wasn't even hardly known of. Beginning shortly after the Great Depression, it began as a small three-stall barn home to the adored equines of the property owners, William and Emilia Paxton. They in turn passed down the property through their children, eventually ending up with many additions onto the stable. One fateful day in 1983 the was a fatal stable fire, burning down the whole facility. Among the ruins a new stable was constructed, that of modern architecture and much, much larger than the old one to accomodate several dozen horses. Soon the business was born, and english disciplines began to be perfected and became show-worthy. Climbing to the top of the show circuit, Lakewood Stables emerged from the bottom to reach the top. Now welcoming new riders, they encourage you to step into the beautiful world of their four-legged companions.
